The Washington Post is reporting that an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer fatally shot a Mexican man in Houston during an attempted immigration arrest. It said federal authorities identified the man as Lorenzo Salgado Araujo and that ICE stated he was in the U.S. illegally. The incident marks the first fatal shooting involving federal immigration agents since January, when U.S. citizens Renée Good and Alex Pretti were killed in separate incidents in Minneapolis.
