Solar activity remained moderate over the past 24 hours, with four numbered sunspot regions observed on the solar disk. Forecasters anticipate continued moderate solar activity through July 24, noting a slight 10% chance of an X-class solar flare occurring on each of those days.

The geomagnetic field experienced quiet to active levels, with solar wind speed peaking at 457 km/s. Electrons greater than 2 MeV at geosynchronous orbit reached a peak of 869 pfu. The geomagnetic field is predicted to be unsettled to minor storm levels on July 22, before returning to quiet to active levels on July 23 and 24.
