Rocket Lab has successfully launched its 97th Electron rocket, deploying a single satellite to space for Synspective in the company's 13th dedicated launch for the Earth-imaging synthetic aperture radar (SAR) constellation.

The mission, named 'Owlright Owlright Owlright', lifted off from Rocket Lab Launch Complex 1 at 12:39 p.m. NZST on September 26, 2026, carrying Synspective's next StriX satellite to a 559km low Earth orbit.

A replay of Rocket Lab's launch broadcast is available on the company's YouTube channel, its website, and on X @RocketLab.

The launch comes as Rocket Lab marks a decade of missions from Launch Complex 1 in Mahia, New Zealand, which officially opened ten years ago to create the world's first private orbital launch site.

At a time when most orbital launch sites were state-run, Rocket Lab said it wanted to open up access to space for small satellites with dedicated launches that were fast, frequent, and affordable. Two launch pads and more than 80 Electron launches later, Launch Complex 1 has made New Zealand one of the world's busiest launch countries.

"None of this would be possible without the support of the Mahia community, local iwi, our New Zealand and global teams, and the customers who trust us with their satellites," the company said. "Thank you to everyone who helped build, launch, and support Launch Complex 1 over the past decade."
