The FBI, in collaboration with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), has established "No Drone Zones" around Philadelphia Stadium for the FIFA World Cup 2026, Lemon Hill Park, and other related sites this summer. Unauthorized drone operators face significant penalties, including fines up to $100,000, drone confiscation, and potential federal criminal charges.
For the FIFA World Cup, the FBI and DHS will lead coordinated counter-Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) protection efforts across all U.S. host cities. Trained state and local officers will join FBI-led task forces to support these operations at tournament venues and associated locations. The FBI and FAA are deploying personnel full-time to detect, track, and assess unauthorized drone activity that could threaten aviation safety, critical infrastructure, or public safety.
Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs) are in effect for specific dates and locations. All aircraft operations are prohibited within a three nautical mile radius and up to 3,000 feet above ground level around Philadelphia Stadium on June 14, 19, 22, 25, 27, and July 4. Similarly, all UAS operations are banned within a one nautical mile radius and up to 1,000 feet above ground level near Lemon Hill Park from June 11-30 and July 1-19.
Drone operators are advised to check FAA-approved B4UFLY service providers for active flight restrictions before every flight. The public is encouraged to report any unsafe drone activity to 911, on-site law enforcement, or directly to the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI.
