The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (CAH) will host a lecture and live DJ demonstration featuring renowned artist King Britt on Saturday, July 18, from 5 to 6:30 pm.

Britt, a DJ, professor, producer, and curator, will explore turntablism as a collage practice. This event connects to CAH's current exhibition, "Rip! Tear! Collage as Critique," by examining how DJ culture and sampling recontextualize sounds to build historical memory and new connections.

The demonstration will delve into the layered forms of existence created through the recontextualization of familiar sounds and sonic identities, building bridges across generations and fostering new modes of connection through sonic collage.
