Solar activity has been at high levels over the past 24 hours, with four numbered sunspot regions currently visible, according to a joint report from the USAF and NOAA. Forecasters anticipate moderate solar activity for the next three days, from July 2nd to July 4th, with a slight chance for powerful X-class solar flares.

The geomagnetic field, which recently experienced quiet to minor storm levels, is expected to become more active. Predictions indicate quiet to active levels on July 2nd, escalating to active to major storm levels on July 3rd, before returning to quiet to minor storm levels on July 4th. There is also a slight chance of proton events crossing thresholds during this period.

Observed solar wind speed peaked at 451 km/s, with total Interplanetary Magnetic Field (IMF) reaching 19 nT. Electrons greater than 2 MeV at geosynchronous orbit hit a peak of 452 pfu. These conditions suggest continued vigilance for potential space weather impacts over the coming days.
