ICE Lodges Detainer for MS-13 Member Charged with Florida Murder

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has lodged a detainer for Luis Eduardo Olla-Hernandez, an alleged MS-13 gang member and illegal alien charged with first-degree murder in Florida.

Olla-Hernandez, from El Salvador, was arrested on August 23 by the Leon County Sheriff’s Office following an incident on August 20. He is accused of luring Devin Graves to his property, shooting him multiple times, and then attempting to dispose of the body by burning it, forcing his girlfriend to assist at gunpoint. Partially-burned human remains were discovered, leading to Olla-Hernandez's arrest and the detainer being lodged with the Leon County Jail.

DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin said, "This criminal illegal alien and MS-13 terrorist has been charged with first-degree murder in Florida after shooting a man and burning his body." Mullin added that Olla-Hernandez illegally entered the U.S. through Texas in February 2016 under the Obama Administration. ICE plans to work with Florida partners to ensure his removal from the country after he faces justice.
