Governor Kay Ivey announced Tuesday that Alabama's participation in the recent Farnborough International Airshow yielded significant economic results, including two major industry announcements and over 50 meetings with aviation, aerospace, and defense companies.

The airshow saw Redwire, an aerospace and defense firm, expand its Huntsville operations, and Doncasters, a U.K.-based manufacturer, establish a second Alabama site in Auburn. These developments collectively represent approximately $68 million in capital investments and are projected to create 220 new jobs across the state.

Governor Ivey highlighted the state's enhanced presence at the event, noting it was Alabama's
