The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration is marking Red Ribbon Week, the nation's largest drug prevention campaign, which runs from October 23 to 31.
This year's focus is on promoting youth sports, mental health, and prescription drug misuse prevention, the DEA said. The agency is kicking off the celebration with its annual Red Ribbon Rally, an event that brings together communities to promote healthy, drug-free lifestyles.
The DEA said parents, educators, healthcare professionals, and community members can all help build stronger communities and encourage young people to make healthy choices. A Red Ribbon toolkit is available with resources and ways to get involved.
Red Ribbon Week is celebrated by communities across the country.
