Small Business Summit to Address Government Contracting Realities in Arlington

The annual Small Business Summit, co-hosted by the Greg & Camille Baroni Center for Government Contracting at George Mason University Costello College of Business and the Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum (SECAF), is scheduled for September 16, 2026. This in-person event aims to bridge government and industry, offering insights, discussion, and networking for small businesses engaged in government contracting.

Taking place from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at George Mason University Mason Square on the Arlington Campus, the summit's theme is "Navigating Small Business GovCon Realities: Find Your North Star." It will explore how sustainable success in the evolving government contracting landscape relies on resilience, innovation, and purpose, guiding acquisition strategies through complexity.

Attendees can expect practical insights, discussions on aligning strategy with changing acquisition realities, and opportunities to connect with government and industry practitioners. The event includes an inspiring keynote address by Mehul Sanghani, CEO of Octo, two engaging panel discussions, a full breakfast buffet, and valuable networking. Registration is $125 per business, with free admission for academia and government, and closes on September 10.
