The Center for Strategic and International Studies is reporting its Defense and Security Department will host its annual Global Security Forum on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. It said the conference theme is "America at 250: A Defining Moment for American Statecraft and Military Power." CSIS also announced it is accepting applications for its Mid-Career Cadre Class of 2027, a program for nuclear professionals with seven or more years of experience, with applications due by June 30, 2026.
The CSIS briefing also noted that CNA is hiring a research scientist for its Strategy and Policy Analysis Program. It highlighted that the German Marshall Fund has launched NEXUS (Next Generation Security Exchange), recruiting U.S., Japanese and European MA and PhD students for webinars and an in-person training on nuclear issues in Washington D.C. this November, with applications due June 30.
Additionally, the briefing mentioned that GovAI is accepting applications for its AI Policy Program, a bipartisan, part-time program for government staffers running from early September to early December 2026, with a June 28 application deadline. It also reported that the Secure World Foundation is hosting its inaugural Space Boot Camp for Nuclear Policy Professionals from Jan. 25-29, 2027, in Washington D.C., with applications due July 2, 2026.
