The U.S. Census Bureau announced a series of upcoming data releases and highlighted current statistics, including population estimates, economic indicators, and Father's Day facts. On June 25, the Bureau will release Vintage 2025 population estimates, providing annual data for the nation, states, metropolitan and micropolitan areas, and counties by age, sex, race, and Hispanic origin, covering April 1, 2020, to July 1, 2025.
This week also features new economic indicators. On June 16, data on New Residential Construction for May 2026 will be available, followed by Advance Monthly Sales for Retail and Food Services for May 2026 and Manufacturing and Trade: Inventories and Sales for April 2026 on June 17.
In observance of Father's Day on June 21, the Census Bureau reported an estimated 72 million fathers nationwide. Of these, 24 million fathers lived in opposite-sex married couple family groups with children younger than age 18 in 2023. Additionally, an "America Counts" story explores the largest foreign-born populations in the U.S. among World Cup nations, linking to the ongoing 2026 World Cup.
Recent data from the Survey of Income and Program Participation revealed that 78% of working-age adults (18-64) received income from earnings in 2023, while 40% received income from assets. The Bureau also plans a webinar on June 25 to explore Census Business Builder for community and business insights.
