Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has authorized the State Disaster Relief Program (SDRP) for 13 counties significantly impacted by severe storms that occurred from March 11-16 earlier this year.
The SDRP is a reimbursement program designed to assist local governments and eligible private non-profit organizations. It provides supplemental state assistance for costs related to damage repairs, debris removal, and emergency protective measures when storm damage does not meet federal assistance thresholds but satisfies state program requirements.
Counties authorized for the SDRP include Belmont, Carroll, Coshocton, Guernsey, Harrison, Holmes, Knox, Licking, Morrow, Noble, Perry, Tuscarawas, and Van Wert. Governor DeWine's authorization enables the Ohio Emergency Management Agency to request the necessary funding from the Ohio Controlling Board.
