Fairfax County Opens Affordable Housing Voucher Waitlist Oct. 5

Fairfax County will open its Project-Based Voucher (PBV) waitlist on Oct. 5 at 8 a.m. for new properties Telestar Court in Falls Church and The Exchange at Spring Hill Station in Vienna.

Applying to the PBV waitlist does not limit applicants to these properties, the county said. The waitlist closes Sunday, Oct. 11, at 11:59 p.m.

The county also announced a groundbreaking for the Willard-Sherwood Health and Community Center on Sept. 30, and a public meeting on the Route 29 Active Transportation Study set for Oct. 14. Neighborhood and Community Services will hold open hire events in October.

In its Fairfax Forward update, the county said 45 pets found new homes, with 20 out on Adoption Auditions, during Animal Services' Empty the Shelters event. Thanks to a partnership with the BISSELL Pet Foundation, adoption fees were waived for all pets. Pets are still available for adoption.
