Department of War Releases Second Batch of UAP Files

The U.S. Department of War today published its second release of declassified and historical Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) files, continuing its transparency efforts under the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE). These files are accessible to the public on WAR.GOV/UFO, with more releases anticipated on a rolling basis.

Sean Parnell, Assistant to the Secretary of War for Public Affairs and Chief Pentagon Spokesman, said, "Today, the Department of War is publishing the second release of declassified and historical Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) files as part of the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE)." He added that the WAR.GOV/UFO site, launched on May 8, 2026, has garnered over 1 billion hits worldwide, underscoring significant public interest and the Trump administration's "historic transparency effort."

The Department of War, in collaboration with its agency partners, is actively preparing the third release of UAP files. An announcement regarding this next collection is expected in the near future.
