U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested more "worst of the worst" illegal aliens on Tuesday, including individuals convicted of murder, sexual assault and robbery, the Department of Homeland Security said.
"Yesterday, the brave men and women of ICE arrested murderers, sexual predators, robbers, and other dangerous illegal aliens," said Secretary of Homeland Security Markwayne Mullin. He said ICE "will never stop enforcing the law, deporting illegal aliens, and protecting the American people" despite what he called dangerous rhetoric from sanctuary politicians that has resulted in a 1,600% increase in assaults against officers.
Those arrested include Jesus Ceja-Barajas, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico convicted of murder in Salinas, California, and Zam Muan Lian, from Burma, convicted of three counts of sexual assault in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Also arrested were Adony De La Cruz-Cruz, from the Dominican Republic, convicted of robbery in New York, New York, and Obiageriaku Jane Iheanacho, from Nigeria, convicted of first-degree assault and vulnerable adult abuse in Baltimore, Maryland.
Roberto Bejarano-Cruz, from Mexico, was convicted of possession with intent to distribute cocaine and methamphetamine in Austin, Texas.
