The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and the State Office of Administrative Hearings (SOAH) have announced a series of public meetings and contested case hearings concerning various environmental permits across Texas throughout May, June, and July 2026. These events will address new and renewed permits for air quality and wastewater discharge, offering opportunities for public input on proposed industrial and municipal operations.

Starting May 26, SOAH will conduct a virtual preliminary hearing for J7 Ready Mix, LLC regarding an air new source permit for a concrete batch plant in Tarrant County. The following day, May 27, TCEQ will host a public meeting in Corpus Christi concerning a new wastewater permit for the Port of Corpus Christi Authority of Nueces County. Another virtual SOAH hearing is scheduled for May 28 for the Lower Valley Water District's new wastewater permit in El Paso County, alongside a notice and comment hearing in San Antonio for Vantage Data Centers TX21, LLC's federal operating permit in Bexar County.

June will see a busy schedule of public meetings. Utilities, Inc. of Texas will have a meeting on June 2 in Spring Branch for a wastewater permit renewal in Comal County. On June 4, a public meeting will be held in Liberty Hill for SV2 Alexander LLC, Janice Germann, and Douglas Germann regarding a new wastewater permit in Williamson County. Air quality permits are also on the agenda, with a June 9 public meeting in Houston for Derichebourg Recycling USA, Inc.'s metal shredding facility in Harris County, and a June 10 meeting in Pecos for Energy Forge One LLC's Kilby Power Plant in Reeves County.

Further wastewater permit discussions include a June 11 meeting in Floresville for HK Bellas Ranch, LLC in Wilson County, a June 16 meeting in Pflugerville for the City of Pflugerville in Travis County, and a June 18 meeting in Forest Hill for James Gregory Coontz and Cathy Ann Frederick in Tarrant County. Looking ahead to July, Rick Wagner Farms LLC will have a public meeting on July 7 in Livingston concerning a new wastewater permit in Polk County.

These meetings and hearings are arranged by the TCEQ's Office of the Chief Clerk or conducted by SOAH, specifically to discuss permitting issues such as the issuance, renewal, or amendment of Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System, New Source Review, or Municipal Solid Waste permits. The public is encouraged to attend to discuss these environmental permitting cases.
