Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Lt. Governor Jim Tressel, and Ohio Department of Development Director Lydia Mihalik today announced the approval of five significant projects. These initiatives are set to create 1,429 new jobs, retain 1,561 existing positions, and bring more than $239 million in investments across the state.
The Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) reviewed these economic development proposals, which were brought forward by JobsOhio and its regional partners. The projects are projected to generate over $93 million in new annual payroll for Ohio workers.
Among the approved projects, FIS Management Services, LLC in Columbus (Franklin County) will create 100 jobs in banking and payments technology. Flexjet, LLC plans to add 976 positions in Richmond Heights (Cuyahoga County) for its private aviation services. MMY U.S. Inc. will establish 120 jobs in Cleveland (Cuyahoga County) for modular building systems development.
Additionally, Pittsburgh Glass Works, LLC in Sandusky Township (Richland County) will create 53 jobs through plant modernization for automotive glass manufacturing. Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc. (MEUS) will add 180 jobs in Mason (Warren County) to focus on new cooling and heating products. These projects underscore Ohio's commitment to fostering diverse economic growth and employment opportunities.
