The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the deportation of numerous criminal illegal aliens last week, including individuals convicted of serious offenses such as murder, criminal sexual conduct, and drug trafficking. This action aligns with the department's stated goal of enhancing national safety.
DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin emphasized the importance of these removals, stating, "Last week, ICE deported more vicious criminal illegal aliens from our country, including murderers, sexual assailants, drunk drivers, burglars, and drug traffickers." He added that "By removing these criminals, we are making America safe again."
Among those deported were Esteban Demecio Hernandez from Mexico, convicted of murder and gross vehicular manslaughter, and Sue Vang from Laos, convicted of first-degree criminal sexual conduct. Other individuals included Darshankumar Ashwinkumar Patel from India, with convictions for domestic abuse and DWI, and Wilson Amilcar Vasquez-Caballero from Honduras, with convictions for burglary and illegal re-entry.
Secretary Mullin noted that 80% of Americans support these efforts and issued a warning: "Do NOT attempt to enter our nation illegally: we will find you, arrest you, and deport you.” The deportations reflect the administration's commitment to enforcing immigration laws.
