Canadian Broadcasting Corporation is reporting that actor Vincent Pastore, known for his roles as mobsters in "The Sopranos" and "Goodfellas," has died at age 80. It said Pastore was best known for playing Salvatore "Big Pussy" Bonpensiero on "The Sopranos."
CBC is also reporting that a U.K. production company and filmmaker are suing Netflix for $105 million US. It said the lawsuit stems from the theft of an unreleased Nicolas Cage movie from the streaming giant's Los Angeles offices.
Separately, the Canadian broadcaster said four women have accused actor Jared Leto of criminal sexual conduct in a BBC documentary. It also reported that the White House continues to taunt singer Katy Perry with another video following her "Firework" rebuke.
The CBC noted that nine Canadians have previously performed for other countries in the Eurovision Song Contest, and it tracked down some of them for advice on how Canada can best prepare for Eurovision 2027 in Bulgaria. It also highlighted Halifax-raised indie-pop musician Baby Nova, who released her debut album "Shhugar" this year and is receiving accolades, with a performance scheduled at a major Canadian music festival.
