Google unveiled its latest advancements in artificial intelligence at Google I/O 2026, introducing Gemini Omni and the Gemini 3.5 family of models, designed to enhance creative and agentic workflows.
Gemini Omni is a new model capable of generating content from diverse inputs, including video, images, audio, and text, to produce high-quality videos grounded in real-world knowledge. A key feature allows users to edit videos through natural language conversations, maintaining character consistency and scene physics across multiple instructions.
Complementing this is Gemini 3.5, a family of models that combines advanced intelligence with the ability to perform actions, marking a significant step toward more capable AI agents. The initial release, 3.5 Flash, offers high performance for agents and coding, excelling in complex, long-term tasks.
Gemini 3.5 Flash, when integrated with the Antigravity harness, can execute multi-step workflows and coding tasks at scale, such as automatically renaming and categorizing unstructured assets. It also facilitates the creation of interactive web user interfaces and graphics, demonstrated by generating checkout flow designs in AI Studio.
This model is now the default for the Gemini app and AI Mode in Search globally, powering new features like information agents that provide comprehensive updates and links. Additionally, Search will leverage 3.5 Flash to build custom generative UIs, including visual tools and simulations, available to all users this summer, and create custom experiences like dashboards and trackers for ongoing tasks.
Gemini Spark, a personal AI agent running on Gemini 3.5 and the Antigravity harness, operates 24/7 to assist with digital tasks and integrates with Workspace tools like Gmail and Docs. Gemini Omni Flash is rolling out to Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers globally via the Gemini app and Google Flow, and is also available at no cost on YouTube Shorts and YouTube Create App, with developer and enterprise API access coming soon. Gemini 3.5 Flash is generally available through Google Antigravity, the Gemini API, and Gemini Enterprise platforms.
