The U.S. Library of Congress's "Live! At the Library" series will showcase podcasts, a major exhibition, and a special concert throughout September.
The series begins September 3 with a live recording of "The Omnibus Project" podcast, hosted by "Jeopardy!" host Ken Jennings and John Roderick. Fans can also explore a unique display of items from the Library's collections, each connected to a past episode.
On September 17, the American Folklife Center will open its 50th anniversary exhibition, "Alive in Many Hands." This exhibition draws from the Center's collections to explore daily traditions, including music, dance, storytelling, foodways, festivals, and work life.
Board member and singer-songwriter Natalie Merchant will host a concert, bringing archival materials to life through artists who interpret them. Merchant, joined by fellow board members Martha Gonzalez and Lori Pourier, will curate performances by some of the nation's most gifted young musicians.
