Mayor Bass to Address Budget, Housing, and Homelessness Initiatives

Mayor Karen Bass is scheduled for a busy day on Thursday, May 28, beginning with signing the FY 26-27 budget alongside City Council members. She will also join the regularly scheduled Metro Board meeting.

In the afternoon, Mayor Bass will address the Connect Los Angeles Conference. Her discussion will cover the administration's initiatives to reduce homelessness, prepare Los Angeles for major upcoming events, and boost housing production.

A significant point of discussion will be the recent signing of a major local housing rezoning effort, one of the largest nationally, designed to create capacity for nearly 500,000 new homes citywide.
