USA TODAY is reporting that the Justice Department announced it disrupted an alleged Chinese hacking operation believed responsible for cyber breaches at the DOJ, NASA, the Federal Reserve, the Senate and other sensitive U.S. government agencies. It said the DOJ seized internet domains used by two hacking platforms, "QScan" and "QTRouter," which it said were employed in the penetration campaign.USA TODAY is also reporting that Sen. Darline Graham won her South Carolina primary runoff, with President Donald J Trump's endorsement proving essential. It said her victory over Rep. Ralph Norman, an experienced GOP congressman, may indicate that voters in the Palmetto State do not mind her lack of political experience, even after a major debate-stage gaffe. Scott Huffmon, a political science professor at Winthrop University, told USA TODAY that Trump's backing was decisive.Separately, USA TODAY is reporting that President Donald J Trump likened the death of country singer Dolly Parton to losing a close family member. It said Trump remembered Parton as a cultural icon beloved by Americans of all political stripes and stated on conservative commentator Glenn Beck's radio show that he thought it was "a natural thing to lower the flags."USA TODAY also reported that states are suing the U.S. Postal Service again to block new rules they say threaten mail-in voting rights.
