The latest Joint USAF/NOAA Solar Geophysical Activity Report indicates low solar activity with five sunspot regions currently visible, alongside quiet to unsettled geomagnetic conditions over the past 24 hours.

Solar activity is expected to remain low, though there is a 25% chance of M-class flares occurring daily from May 22 to May 24. The probability for more powerful X-class flares is lower, at 5% for each of these days.

The geomagnetic field, which recently saw solar wind speeds peak at 490 km/s and geosynchronous electron levels reach 2841 pfu, is forecast to continue at quiet to unsettled levels on May 22 and 23, before settling to quiet levels on May 24.
