The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and the State Office of Administrative Hearings (SOAH) have scheduled a series of public meetings and contested case hearings throughout June and July 2026 to address various environmental permitting issues across Texas. These events provide opportunities for public discussion on proposed new or amended Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (TPDES) and Air Quality Standard permits.
Upcoming public meetings include discussions on a new TPDES wastewater permit for James Gregory Coontz and Cathy Ann Frederick in Forest Hill on June 18, 2026, and for Rick Wagner Farms LLC in Livingston on July 7, 2026. South Central Water Company's proposed TPDES wastewater permit in Hutto will be reviewed on July 14, 2026. Additionally, Battleground Concrete, LLC's new Air Quality Standard Permit for a concrete batch plant in Channelview is scheduled for a public meeting on July 16, 2026.
Contested case hearings are also slated, with Belle Vie Utilities LLC's proposed TPDES air new source permit in Fannin County set for a preliminary hearing on July 7, 2026. Further hearings include GRBK Edgewood LLC and Rummel & Rohde Farms Ltd's wastewater permit in Williamson County on July 20, 2026, and Lower Valley Water District's wastewater permit in El Paso County on July 21, 2026. These hearings will be conducted virtually by SOAH.
