Demontrae Fagan, 36, of Tampa, has been sentenced to 33 years and 9 months in federal prison for sex trafficking three victims in 2022. U.S. District Judge Thomas P. Barber issued the sentence after Fagan pleaded guilty on February 5, 2026.
Court documents reveal Fagan used force, threats, and coercion to exploit the victims. He created online advertisements for commercial sexual activity and used one victim to manage the others' schedules and ads. Fagan collected all money earned from these acts.
Fagan also physically abused the victims and provided them with drugs, impairing their mental state. His regular possession of firearms instilled fear, contributing to their compliance. The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Tampa Police Department investigated the case, which Assistant United States Attorney Courtney Derry prosecuted.
