The Washington Post is reporting that the U.S. has again struck targets in Iran for a third consecutive day, as hostilities escalate over the vital Strait of Hormuz. Central Command said the strikes were a response to what it called "continued Iranian aggression against commercial shipping." Iran had earlier stated it was targeting U.S. interests in the Middle East. The newspaper said these clashes represent the latest threat to an existing ceasefire and ongoing discussions aimed at achieving a broader peace.
