The latest Joint USAF/NOAA Solar Geophysical Activity Report indicates moderate solar activity and quiet to minor geomagnetic storm levels over the past 24 hours. Five sunspot regions are currently present on the solar disk.

Looking ahead, solar activity is forecast to be low for the next three days, from August 20-22, with a 35% daily probability of M-class flares. The geomagnetic field, which saw solar wind speeds peak at 630 km/s and electron levels reach 414 pfu, is expected to be at quiet to active levels during the same period.

Middle latitudes have a 35% chance of active conditions on August 20, while high latitudes face a 30% chance of minor storms across the forecast period.
