The Quarterly Workforce Indicators provide comprehensive local labor market statistics, detailing information by industry, worker demographics, and firm age and size. For most states, the latest data available within this 2026 Q2 release covers the third quarter of 2025.
Concurrently, the Job-to-Job Flows data offers insights into hires and separations across the United States, specifically focusing on how workers reallocate between employers. The most recent J2J data included in this 2026 Q2 release is for the second quarter of 2025 for the majority of states.
Both QWI and J2J data are accessible through the Census Bureau's online platforms. The Bureau notes that data submission or quality issues can occasionally lead to delays or skipped releases for individual states until such problems are resolved.
