The U.S. Census Bureau will host a webinar on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. ET, to help individuals understand and support rural communities using Census Bureau data. The session aims to equip participants with the knowledge to leverage available data for data-driven assessments and planning in these areas.

Attendees will learn about key geographies relevant to rural communities and discover how to utilize data.census.gov and other essential data tools. This training is designed to advance research and inform various projects, from business plans and grant proposals to urban development.

Speakers Kira O’Bradovich and Stacie Cochran-McNeal will lead the webinar. The event is part of the Census Academy's initiative to provide free workshops and training on finding and using Census Bureau data for everyday applications.
