Sierra Club is reporting that the Trump administration has attempted to sell off, lease out and strip protections from more than a million acres of protected landscapes. It said the administration has also rolled back bedrock environmental laws and that Congress has introduced bills to transfer public lands to corporate polluters.
To counter these actions, Sierra Club is hosting a virtual "action hour" on Wednesday, July 29, at 7 p.m. ET. The event will feature Executive Director Loren Blackford, who will discuss the administration's agenda and strategies for advocacy. Participants will learn how to effectively contact members of Congress and connect with other advocates nationwide.
