The latest Joint USAF/NOAA Solar Geophysical Activity Report indicates high solar activity over the past 24 hours, with unsettled to minor storm levels in the geomagnetic field. Forecasts suggest moderate solar activity with potential for X-class flares and a return to quieter geomagnetic conditions in the coming days.

Currently, eight numbered sunspot regions are present on the solar disk. Solar activity is expected to remain moderate on July 6th and 7th, with a slight chance of an X-class flare each day. By July 8th, activity is predicted to be low, with a slight chance for an M-class flare.

The geomagnetic field experienced unsettled to minor storm levels, with solar wind speed peaking at 572 km/s. Looking ahead, the geomagnetic field is anticipated to be quiet to active on July 6th, settling to quiet levels on July 7th and 8th. There is a slight chance for protons greater than 10 MeV to cross the threshold on July 6th and 7th.

Middle latitudes face a 30% chance of active geomagnetic conditions on July 6th, decreasing over the subsequent days. High latitudes have a 30% chance of minor storms and a 35% chance of major-severe storms on July 6th.
