The Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) and the Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS), overseeing the Cardinal Care Virginia Medicaid Program, are hosting a virtual town hall to inform the public about upcoming changes to Medicaid eligibility for noncitizens, effective October 1, 2026.
The session, scheduled for Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. ET, will detail updates related to noncitizen eligibility under H.R.1 and explain what these changes mean for current Medicaid members.
