"Providing Quality Family Planning Services: Recommendations of CDC and the U.S. Office of Population Affairs" published in 2014 established standards for providing a core set of preventive health services for women and men aged 1544 years. Three surveillance systems were used to document receipt of contraceptive care, pregnancy testing and counseling, basic infertility services, sexually transmitted disease services, and other preconception care and related preventive health services. This report provides baseline estimates of the use of these recommended preventive health services during 20112013 among women and men of reproductive age.
