Take Action with the Sierra Club
We are writing to ask for your advice on an important planning effort -- through participation in http://click.emails.sierraclub.org/?qs=6d0dc3c5f00b4c0d9a07c8c599766681247a278363cd742dacc680fc5b2f4ba7d254b5c80db565d395969f34768c71c208c60cc7e2085e9c a five-minute online survey -- that will impact the future of the Sierra Club, the Sierra Club Foundation, and our work to preserve a healthy planet.
Given the current political environment in the United States, we have doubled down on our core mission-critical efforts AND recognized the need to shift toward additional issues, including climate change, equity, inclusion, and environmental justice. To that end, the Sierra Club Foundation and the Sierra Club have begun to strategize our approaches regarding philanthropy and building the best plan that can sustain and enrich our mission into the future.
In support of those efforts, we have retained CCS, a fundraising consulting firm with extensive experience helping nonprofit organizations implement major capital campaigns, to assist us with a planning study. We would greatly appreciate your thoughts about the Sierra Club's vision as outlined in the background statement. The information you provide will be anonymous and only shared with the leadership team in aggregate.
The online survey will only be "live" for one week, so please help us maximize the Sierra Club's future impact by taking this brief survey by 5:00pm PT on Tuesday, October 31. It should take no more than five minutes and your input will be invaluable.
If you have any questions regarding the survey, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, which has been set up exclusively for inquiries regarding this process. A staff member will respond at their earliest convenience.
Thank you in advance for your participation in this essential planning study. We look forward to your partnership in preparing for the next phase of the Sierra Club's future as we take urgent steps to protect the future of our planet for each and every one of us.
Michael Brune, Executive Director, Sierra Club
Dan Chu, Executive Director, Sierra Club Foundation
