Greenify your commute in September

Team Sierra

Starting on September 1, we are challenging you to reduce your carbon footprint by greenifying your commute for thirty days.

Here's how:

1. Join Team Sierra. 2. Create a fundraising page pledging to bike, take public transit, or carpool for the month of September. 3. Ask your network to support you by making donations to your campaign.

Did you know that collectively, cars and trucks emit nearly 24 pounds of carbon dioxide and other global-warming gases per every gallon of gas they use? So, if you use one gallon of gas every day, that's 720 pounds of CO2 in the month of September alone -- yikes!!

And as a Sierra Club supporter, you likely know that we cannot rely on the Trump administration to solve it.

That's why we're asking you to join the For Tomorrow team [ Join now]. As a member, you will be an active contributor to a fundraising and awareness community with the goal of making the world a better, safer place to live for all species inhabiting this planet.

Will you make the commitment to lowering your impact on the planet by greenifying your commute for the month of September? Then join us, and help us make an impact today, For Tomorrow.

Let's do this!

Jessica Dean

Team Sierra Manager

P.S. If you don't drive a car, you can make your commute one step greener -- take Uber? Carpool or take the bus instead. Already take the bus? Then ride your bike. Already bike? Encourage your friends to do the same!
