Adm. Harry Harris, commander of U.S. Pacific Command, U.S. Naval Academy (USNA) class of '78, presents Adm. Kurt Tidd, commander of U.S. Southern Command, also class of '78, with the Old Goat Award during a ceremony at the Pentagon. This award is given to the oldest Naval Academy graduate still on active duty. His initials and class year are engraved on the award along with those of former Deputy Chief of the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery Rear Adm. Alton L. Stock, MC, USN, Class of '72, who retired on March 28, 2014; former USNA Superintendent Vice Adm. Michael H. Miller, Class of '74, who retired on August 1, 2015; former Chief of Naval Operations Adm.
