SPC 0730Z Day 3 Outlook
Day 3 Convective Outlook NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 0112 AM CDT Wed Mar 28 2018 Valid 301200Z - 311200Z ...NO SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST... ...SUMMARY... Isolated thunderstorms are possible across portions of the Mid-Atlantic states and northern/central Florida on Friday. ...Synopsis... Overall upper pattern will likely deamplify as one shortwave trough ejects through the Northeast and another moves through the OH Valley and off the northern Mid-Atlantic coast. Surface low associated with the first shortwave will take a similar path into the Canadian Maritimes while an attendant cold front pushes eastward off the eastern seaboard and slowly southeastward through the FL Peninsula. A few thunderstorms will be possible along and just ahead of this front, particularly across the FL Panhandle and southern GA early in the period when a few strong storms are possible. Already low severe thunderstorm chances will diminish further throughout the day as the stronger flow aloft shifts north and warm temperatures aloft mitigate instability. High surface pressure and offshore flow across the southern Plains and Southeast will result in stable conditions, precluding thunderstorms. Dry conditions will prevent thunderstorms elsewhere across the CONUS. ..Mosier.. 03/28/2018 Read more
