A large-scale trough is forecast to become established across the eastern U.S., while a ridge continues to build across the Intermountain West. A region of enhanced mid-level flow should remain present over much of the south-central and southeastern U.S. At the surface, post-frontal northwesterly winds will remain present over much of the central/southern U.S. ...Portions of Florida... Post-frontal northwesterly winds will usher in dry/breezy conditions across the region. Although recent rains should result in fuels remaining generally unreceptive to large-fire spread, localized elevated fire-weather potential may exist for areas that receive little rainfall with the passing cold front on Tuesday. ...Portions of New Mexico... RH values will remain quite dry across the region, where severe/extreme drought conditions persist.
