Stop the corporate handouts!
Trump and Ford are teaming up to roll back cleaner car standards -- a move that would cost you money.Tell Ford: No rollbacks!
The Trump Administration is making a habit of taking things from hard-working Americans in order to give handouts to corporations and the wealthy. Want to be part of stopping it?
We see this with the move to open up millions of acres of previous protected and irreplaceable national monument land to corporate drilling and resource extraction. The recent tax scam is another clear example, benefiting the wealthy rather than working Americans.1
And now Trump is teaming up with Ford Motor Company to orchestrate another corporate handout that ends with you paying more to fill up your car. But you can put a stop to it.
In 2012, new rules required automakers to improve the fuel efficiency of new cars. By 2025, the average American consumer would save between $3,200 and $8,200 over the life of a new car or truck. That's money in your pocket!
Not to mention that cleaner car rules are our biggest defense against climate change because they'll nearly double fuel efficiency, keep oil in the ground, and decrease harmful carbon pollution.
But as soon as Trump was elected, Ford and other automakers began lobbying to roll back these cleaner car standards. A rollback might be what auto industry lobbyists want, but it's not what Americans want. A recent poll found that 95 percent of Americans want automakers to continue to improve fuel economy, and 79 percent want the government to strengthen the standards.2
Ford wants to keep us locked in a dirty transportation system that will cost you money. We need to strengthen clean car standards, not roll them back. Add your name now to tell Ford to keep clean car standards strong!
Let's get this done,
