Members include former and current high-level officials and experts from the US, Russia and Europe. Also at the conference, NTI CEO and Co-Chair Ernest Moniz and NTI Vice President Elizabeth Cameron hosted a panel discussion focused on biosecurity. On the topic of Russia, Moniz warned that "there is much less communication now than even during the height of the Cold War... Our concern is less about intentional use, as opposed to an accident, a miscalculation, or a blunder." Moniz also discussed NTI’s work on nuclear security and the IAEA Low-Enriched Uranium Bank, outcomes of the Munich Security Conference, and the Nuclear Posture Review. WATCH THE VIDEO Sam Nunn Interviewed by Greta Van Susteren on Nuclear Posture Review and Low-Yield Nuclear Weapons NTI Co-Chair Sam Nunn spoke with Greta Van Susteren on Voice of America last week about the dangers of low-yield nuclear weapons. “The real danger of low-yield nuclear weapons is the psychology... if both the US and Russia start talking about usability...the world becomes very, very dangerous," Nunn said.
