Assemblymember Monique Limon almost won a huge victory in the fight against oil. She came within one vote of passing Assembly Bill 1328 last night.
AB 1328 requires the oil industry to disclose the chemicals used in their processes that may pollute water. The list of these chemicals would be made available online, so the public can be aware of what chemicals the oil industry is using, and hold them accountable if contamination occurs.
We have another chance to defeat big oil again today. We all need to get LOTS of calls into our Assemblymember urging him or her to protect water and vote YES on AB 1328 TODAY.
