URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 245 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 415 AM CDT Fri May 19 2017 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Southern Illinois Eastern Missouri * Effective this Friday morning from 415 AM until 1000 AM CDT. * Primary threats include... Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible SUMMARY...A fast-moving cluster of storms will likely continue to pose a risk for isolated damaging wind gusts and some hail as it moves toward far eastern Missouri (including the St Louis Metro area) into western Illinois. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 55 statute miles east and west of a line from 30 miles north of Alton IL to 10 miles southwest of Farmington MO.
