House Republicans Defeat Their Energy & Water Appropriations Bill After Amendment Is Adopted to Ban Discrimination Against LGBT Americans
WASHINGTON, DC - House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (MD) released the following video today after House Republicans once more voted in favor of discrimination against LGBT Americans. Earlier today, House Republicans voted down their own Energy and Water Appropriations bill because it included an amendment offered by Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (NY-18), which would ban federal contractors from discriminating against LGBT employees.
