(Newsroom America) -- The FBI says an agent has shot dead a man in Orlando, Florida who was being questioning in relation to the Boston Marathon bombings.
The FBI says the agent, two Massachusetts State Police troopers, and other law enforcement personnel were interviewing an individual in connection with the Boston Marathon bombing investigation when a violent confrontation was initiated by the individual.
"During the confrontation, the individual was killed and the agent sustained non-life threatening injuries," it said.
CNN identified the dead man as Ibragim Todashev, who allegedly knew the Boston marathon bombing brothers Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
The FBI is currently reviewing the shooting incident, and says because of this no further details will be released at this time.
