(Newsroom America) -- Eleven people including three Americans were killed today when their International Security Assistance Force helicopter crashed in southern Afghanistan.
ISAF said the crash resulted in the deaths of four International Security Assistance Force service members, three United States Forces-Afghanistan service members, three members of the Afghan National Security Forces, and one Afghan civilian interpreter. The cause of the crash is under investigation. The country the four International Security Assistance Force service members were from has not yet been revealed, with ISAF policy to defer casualty identification procedures to the relevant national authorities.
