Survey: Romney Leading Obama 47-43 Percent

By Newsroom America Staff at 9 Aug 2012

(Newsroom America) -- Republican president hopeful Mitt Romney is leading President Obama 47-43 percent in the latest Rasmussen Daily Tracking Poll, released Thursday, following a bounce in the polls for the president after a better-than-expected jobs report last week.

"The president enjoyed a bounce immediately following release of last week’s job report. However, the bounce has faded, and the race is back to where it was just before Friday’s report," the survey said.

Despite Romney's overall lead, Obama continues to lead in the Rasmussen Reports Electoral College Projections, 180-178, with about a dozen states containing 156 electoral votes that the survey says are genuine toss-ups.
